How to apply

Step-by-step guidance on submitting an application, preparing documents and going through the main stages of selection.

Where to start

The first step is a conscious decision to serve and a clear understanding of your motivation.

Review the main areas of service, available specialties and the conditions of contract military service. This will help you choose a position that best matches your skills and expectations.

  • Assess your strengths and professional experience.
  • Think about which format of service suits you best — combat units, staff work, technical or analytical roles.
  • If needed, contact a recruiter for a consultation.

Where to apply

You can apply for service in the Land Forces in several ways. Choose the option that is most convenient for you.

  • Visit a Land Forces recruitment center.
  • Visit a Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS).
  • Fill in an online application form on an official resource.
  • Contact a recruiter via hotline or official communication channels.

Preparing documents

Before you apply, prepare the main documents. This will help speed up processing and moving to the next stages of selection.

  • Ukrainian citizen’s passport and tax identification number.
  • Education documents (school certificate, diploma, transcripts).
  • Military registration documents (if available).
  • Photographs of the required format.
  • Medical certificates or test results (if this is required in advance by the selection procedure).

Selection stages

After you submit an application, you go through several mandatory selection stages. They are designed to assess your health, psychological resilience, professional skills and suitability for the chosen specialty.

  • Completing a candidate questionnaire and an initial interview with a recruiter.
  • Medical commission.
  • Psychological assessment and, if necessary, additional testing.
  • Agreeing on specialty, position and place of service.
  • Final decision and signing the contract.

After signing the contract

After signing the contract, a candidate moves to the training and assignment stage. At this stage you complete a basic military training course and then specialized training in your chosen specialty.

Next, you are assigned to a military unit where you continue service as part of a unit and develop your skills in real conditions.

  • Basic general military training.
  • Specialized training in the chosen military specialty.
  • Assignment to a military unit and introduction to the unit.
  • Mentorship from experienced service members.

Candidate support

At every stage — from submitting an application to the start of service — candidates can rely on information and advisory support.

Recruiters help you choose a specialty, explain service conditions, and answer questions about social guarantees, financial support and opportunities for career growth.
