Service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive competitive pay and a range of financial benefits to ensure their well-being and motivation. These include:
- base salary starting from 20,000 UAH (from 25,000 UAH for officers), plus additional combat remuneration of 30,000, 50,000, 70,000, or 100,000 UAH depending on the mission
- one-time financial assistance upon signing the first contract: 8 subsistence minimums for enlisted personnel, 9 for sergeants, and 10 for officers
- two types of annual financial assistance equal to one monthly base salary: for health improvement and for social and household needs
- retirement based on years of service, including preferential service periods; pension size is 50–70% of the average military salary
- the right to service housing or compensation for rental housing
- high-quality summer, demi-season, and winter uniforms, reliable protective gear, and modern equipment
