Institute of Tank Troops

The Military Institute of Tank Troops of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” is one of the key military educational institutions training officers for the Land Forces of Ukraine.

It combines the strong academic foundation of NTU “KhPI” with long-standing military traditions of preparing highly qualified leaders capable of operating effectively in modern warfare.

Training is conducted at the Bachelor's and Master's levels in both technical and command specialties.

Cadets acquire skills in commanding tank units, maintenance, repair, and operation of modern weapons and military equipment, as well as troop support (including CBRN defense).

Educational programs integrate engineering education, military training, and real combat experience.

Modern equipment, advanced training tools, experienced instructors, and intensive training shape cadets into leaders capable of making critical decisions in real-world conditions.

The institute has a well-developed training infrastructure, including modern laboratories, training complexes, simulation systems, and field training areas.

Special attention is given to digital and technological competencies: the curriculum includes aerial reconnaissance, modern navigation and communication systems, the DELTA situational awareness system, and the use of virtual reality technologies.

Cadets receive full state support, financial allowances, and practical military service experience during their studies.

Upon graduation, they are awarded an officer rank and assigned to leadership positions in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Joint training programs, exercises, and knowledge exchange contribute to implementing modern officer training standards and integrating Ukrainian military education into the international security environment.

Thanks to technical assistance from partner countries, cadets gain access to foreign weapons systems and military equipment.
